First
of all, the writer would like to extend her outmost gratitude to Jesus Christ,
for His blessing, mercy and guidance till the writer can finish this thesis.
This thesis is one of the requirements to get the Sarjana Sastra degree. The
title of this thesis is “An Analysis of Using Idioms in Michael Connely’s “the
Lincoln Lawyer” Movie”.
The
writer has found many difficulties in completing this thesis, therefore, the
writer has been given much support and valuable knowledge by several people
whose names cannot be mentioned here one by one. Therefore, she is also deeply
indebted to all the people who have given assistance and suggestion in
finishing this thesis. The writer is fully aware that without their help, she
would never be able to complete this thesis well. The writer would like to
extend her thans to:
1. Tiara K. Pasaribu, M. Hum as her first consultant and Drs. Reinjaya Sitohang, M. Hum as her second consultant, for their patience in guiding her to complete the work and for the knowledge and encouragements inspiring to push her to the finish line.
2. The dean of Art and Language Faculty HKBP Nommensen University , Dra, Rotua E. Pangaribuan, M.Hum and Tiara K. Pasaribu BA, M.Hum as the head of English department and all lecturers who have taught the writer during her study in this university.
3. All the staff and the administration staff at English department k’Normina, k’Bontor, k’Nova for all the courtesy, cooperation and service her as well as academic years on campus. Thank you sister for your kind in helping her in settling all her problem.
4. The great honorable and thankfulness expressed to her parent H. Sipayung and N. Barus for their true love, prayers and material support. You are the precious people that God has given to her. You are my soul in my life and I will always be your sprightly girl. May God bless you and give the happiness in your life.
5. Her beloved brothers Join Sipayung and Kijin Sipayung who always give an attention, pray and help that had given every day. Thank you for the laughs and support. You are the best brother.
6. Her wonderful and sweet friends Rita Damanik, Reza Girsang, Ika Sinaga, Meli Simanjorang, Raphael Saragih and Ibob Sinaga for their help, support and pray. Thank you for the happiness and sadness, joke, shopping (pajak inpres) that they had passed together. Every moment I’ll never forget it. Thank our friendship girl…!! Boy…!!
7. Her special and rejoice friend in the dormitory Sutomo 11 that can’t be mentioned one by one (Lita, Anni, Sri, Agnes, Loris, Oslen, Hunter, dkk) for your time that had spent together. Thank you for the laughs and support. I will miss you guy.
8. Her cheerful and funny friends in her KPPM group 5, Ivo, Eric, Indra, Japri, Herman and Agus, who always makes her laugh. Thank guys for the joke and support, you are the new member of her family. We will always friends forever and ever. Love you.
9. For someone that she loves, thank you for your attention and time. It makes me feel so nice with your love. your message in my whole day always helps me to not feel so alone. Good luck and God bless you.

11.
